Generative Engine Optimization
The new front page is an answer, not a list of ten blue links.
Search did not disappear: it changed shape. A growing share of commercial research in Jordan and the wider MENA region now ends inside a generated answer: an AI Overview on Google, a Perplexity summary, a ChatGPT recommendation, a Gemini comparison. In those surfaces there is no page two. There are three or four cited brands, and everyone else is invisible.
Generative Engine Optimization is the discipline of making your brand the one that gets retrieved, quoted and named. It borrows from classical SEO (crawlability, authority, structure), but it optimises for a different consumer: a language model assembling an answer from sources it trusts, in a language it can parse, about entities it can disambiguate.
Owl Media builds GEO programmes that treat your website as a machine-readable knowledge base and your off-site footprint as a corroboration network. We make the claims about your business consistent, structured, sourced and repeated everywhere a model looks, then we measure the citations, not just the rankings.

Tools & platforms
The patterns we see in almost every audit.
You rank, but you are not quoted
Position three on a traditional SERP is worth far less when the answer box above it names three competitors and never mentions you. Ranking and retrieval are now two different games.
Your content answers nothing directly
Models extract self-contained, attributable passages. Pages written as brochure copy (vague, adjective-heavy, no numbers, no definitions) give a model nothing it can safely lift and cite.
Your entity is ambiguous
If your business name, address, founding date, service list and leadership differ across your site, your Google Business Profile, LinkedIn, Clutch and local directories, models hedge. Hedging means omission.
Nobody corroborates your claims
A claim that appears only on your own domain is a marketing assertion. The same claim repeated in a review platform, a trade publication, a directory and a partner page becomes a fact worth repeating.
Scope, in detail.
No vague line items. Here is precisely what is produced, delivered and handed over.
Get a scoped proposalAI visibility audit and citation baseline
We run a structured prompt set, 120 to 400 buyer-intent prompts in English and Arabic, across ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, Perplexity and Copilot, and record which brands are named, which sources are cited, and where you sit. That baseline becomes the scoreboard for the whole engagement.
Entity and knowledge-graph consolidation
One canonical fact set for your organisation, propagated to your site, schema markup, Google Business Profile, Wikidata where eligible, LinkedIn, Crunchbase and the directories that matter in Jordan and the Gulf. Same name, same address, same numbers, everywhere.
Structured data architecture
Organization, LocalBusiness, Service, Product, FAQPage, HowTo, Article, Person and BreadcrumbList schema implemented as a coherent connected graph with @id references, not as isolated blocks pasted into a plugin.
Answer-ready content system
Definition-first page openings, extractable 40 to 60 word answer blocks, comparison tables, original statistics, clear attributions and named authors with real credentials. We rewrite what you have and build what is missing.
Corroboration and digital PR
Placements, expert commentary, review-platform profiles, data studies and partner content designed to repeat your key claims on domains that models already trust.
Retrieval-friendly technical work
Clean server-rendered HTML, fast responses, sane heading hierarchy, stable URLs, llms.txt, and a crawler policy that deliberately decides which AI agents you allow and which you block.
Monthly citation reporting
Share of voice by prompt cluster, citation count by engine, sentiment of the mention, competitor movement, and the specific pages doing the work.
The engagement, step by step.
Prompt-set design
We map how your buyers actually ask (awareness, comparison, and purchase-intent prompts, in both English and Jordanian-market Arabic) and lock a repeatable measurement set.
Baseline and gap analysis
We measure current citation share across five engines, identify which sources the models are drawing on, and find the specific claims your competitors own and you do not.
Entity consolidation
Canonical fact set defined, schema graph deployed, off-site profiles corrected and aligned. This is unglamorous and it moves the needle more than anything else.
Content build
We produce or rewrite the pages that answer the highest-value prompts, with extractable passages, original data and real authorship.
Corroboration
Digital PR and placement work to get the same claims repeated on third-party domains models trust.
Measure, iterate, compound
Re-run the prompt set monthly. Double down where citations appear, rebuild where they do not. GEO compounds. The sixth month looks nothing like the first.
Generative Engine Optimization FAQ
They overlap and they are not the same. Classical SEO optimises for a ranked list of links; GEO optimises for being retrieved and quoted inside a generated answer. The technical foundations are shared (crawlability, speed, authority), but the content format, the entity work and the measurement are different. We run both together because a page that cannot rank usually cannot be retrieved either.
With a fixed prompt set and repeated sampling. We run the same prompts on a schedule, record brand mentions and cited URLs, and track share of voice over time. Answers vary between runs, so we sample multiple times per prompt and report trends rather than single snapshots.
Entity and schema fixes can show up in weeks. Citation share typically moves meaningfully between months three and six, and keeps compounding after that. Anyone promising AI citations in thirty days is guessing.
That is a strategy decision, not a default. Blocking protects content from training use but also removes you from the retrieval pool for some engines. We make the trade-off explicit per crawler and you decide.
Yes, and it is currently a significant advantage. Arabic-language answer surfaces are far less contested than English ones. Brands that publish genuinely useful structured Arabic content are being cited today with a fraction of the effort the English market demands.
