We were named for a bird
that sees what others miss.
Owl Media is a 38-person digital marketing agency in Abdali, Amman. We work across Jordan and the Gulf, in Arabic and English, building growth systems for brands that want to be measured on outcomes rather than activity.
Started because the honest answer was missing.
Before Owl Media existed, our founder spent a decade watching the same conversation repeat on both sides of the table. A client would ask what a campaign had actually delivered. An agency would answer with reach, impressions and engagement rate. Both sides knew that was not the question, and neither side wanted to say so.
That gap is not a failure of talent. There is extraordinary creative and technical ability in this region. It is a failure of structure: of agencies being paid for output rather than outcome, and of measurement being set up after the work rather than before it.
Owl Media was built the other way around. We agree the commercial objective and the measurement framework before we agree a scope. We instrument everything before we scale anything. And when something is not working, you hear it from us first, with a recommendation attached, even when that recommendation is a smaller engagement than the one you were about to sign.
Seven years later that has produced a slower-growing but far more stable business than the alternative: 140 brands served, an average client relationship measured in years rather than months, and a team that can look at its own case studies without flinching.
Seven years, one direction.
2019
Founded in Amman
Hadeel Al-Rousan starts Owl Media with three people and a conviction that regional brands were being sold activity instead of outcomes. The first client is still with us.
2020
Studio opens
We bring photography in-house rather than subcontracting, because the handoff was where quality and timelines kept breaking.
2021
Performance practice
The media team is formed around a simple rule: no spend scales until the measurement is verified. It costs us two prospects in the first year and wins us eleven.
2022
Gulf expansion
First Saudi and UAE clients. We learn quickly that Gulf Arabic, Jordanian Arabic and MSA are three different briefs, not one.
2023
Marketing technology
Automation and data engineering become a standalone practice after too many clients ask us to fix the operations layer behind the marketing.
2024
GEO research begins
Tareq Mansour starts measuring how retrieval models select and cite sources. The internal research becomes a client service eighteen months later.
2026
38 specialists
Seven disciplines, one building in Abdali, 140 brands served, and the same rule we started with: say the honest thing early.
Principles, not slogans.
These are the things we will be held to. If we break one, tell us: we have ended engagements over it before.
Evidence over opinion
Every recommendation we make should be traceable to something measurable. When we do not have the data, we say so instead of dressing up a guess as a strategy.
Own the awkward conversation
If a channel is not working, if a budget is wrong, if the honest answer is a smaller engagement than you asked for: you hear it from us early, in plain language.
Build systems, not deliverables
A campaign ends. A system compounds. We design everything so it keeps producing value after the invoice is settled.
Bilingual by default
Arabic is not a translation step at the end of the process. It is a design constraint from the first day, in copy, type, layout and measurement.
Everything under one roof
Strategy, design, photography, media and engineering sit in the same building. That is why our turnaround is short and our work is coherent.
Client data stays client data
You own every account, pixel, asset and dataset. Nothing is held as leverage, and there are no exit fees dressed up as handover charges.
Who you will actually work with.
No pitch team that disappears after signature. The people below are the people on your account.
Hadeel Al-Rousan
Founder & Managing Director
Fifteen years in regional marketing across agency and client side. Founded Owl Media in 2019 on the belief that MENA brands deserved strategy as rigorous as the creative.
Yazan Odeh
Head of Growth & Performance
Former in-house performance lead for a regional e-commerce group. Manages the media practice and is unreasonably passionate about server-side tracking.
Noor Qasem
Creative Director
Bilingual identity designer with a specialism in Arabic and Latin type pairing. Leads brand and design across every engagement.
Tareq Mansour
Head of Search & GEO
Built Owl Media's generative engine optimization practice in 2024 after two years researching how retrieval models select and cite sources.
Sara Haddadin
Head of Content & Social
Journalist turned content strategist. Runs the editorial and social practice in Arabic and English across Jordan and the Gulf.
Bashar Nimri
Head of Photography
Commercial photographer. Leads the photography studio, and has shot in every governorate in Jordan at least twice.
Dina Salameh
Head of Marketing Technology
Solutions architect with a CRM and data engineering background. Builds the automation and reporting infrastructure behind every retainer.
Karim Btaiche
Client Partner, Gulf
Based between Amman and Dubai. Leads relationships across Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
We hire for judgement.
Tools change every eighteen months. Judgement does not. We hire people who can explain why a recommendation is right, defend it when challenged, and change their mind when the data says so.
In return: work you can put your name on, clients who are told the truth so you never have to defend something you do not believe, a real training budget, and a studio with actual equipment rather than a rental account.
We are usually hiring for something. If you are good, write to us even when nothing is posted. The address is info@owl-media.site.
